Meetings:
Worship every Sunday with a tradition of hymns, prayers and sermon in the Hungarian language. Religious education in Sunday schools and in religion classes at public schools.

Unitarianism began in Transylvania within the liberal wing of the Protestant Reformation in the second half of the 16th century, at the Diet of Torda (1568), when King John Sigismund declared liberty of conscience and religion for the first time, inspired by the preaching of Francis David.
At the end of the 16th century there were 400 congregations. 400 years of persecutions has reduced that number to less than half.
Today, many Unitarians still live in farming communities in villages, while others are members in large city congregations. All Transylvanian Unitarians are ethnic Hungarians.
The headquarters is in Cluj (Kolozsvar), the major cultural centre of Transylvania.
Today, the ministerial education offers a bachelors and a masters degree in Unitarian ministry at the Protestant Theological School in Kolozsvar.
