Founded:

Unitarisk Kirkesamfund is the Unitarian Church of Denmark, the only Unitarian church in Scandinavia. It was founded in 1900.

A beautiful building was erected in 1927 in part donated by Nina Grieg, composer Edvard Grieg's widow. The church operates as a fellowship with lay leadership.

Congregations: 1 fellowship - member of the British General Assembly, CLF (UUA), IARF and ICUU.
Meetings: Sunday services every other Sunday (Except summer). "Debate Cafe" every other Sunday (Fall and Spring). No services over the summer but "Open House" every Wednesday afternoon. There are also various evening activities and services.
Notes:

The church was originally centered around the teachings of Jesus, God the Father and the Golden Rule, Love thy neighbor.

Today most members prefer a more abstract theology and many of the services contain few of the traditional Christian elements. The aim is to bring religious, philosophical and scientific views into agreement.

Every person is responsible for his or her own way of life and religious views, and have the freedom to disassociate from dogmatic exterior authority in favor of reliance on an inner authority. The congregation celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2000.
